The Team

Well, I guess everyone is looking forward to tmrw cos once we submit we'll have one less subject to worry about. I think everyone did great for this subject. So here's the photo again that Esa posted up some time ago for you guys to keep...

Good luck for tmrw everyone...!

the car petrol resit (if u need it)

This is the End

yo guys

here is what i need from you. first i would like to to know what things you learned while doing this project (just leave it as comment) so i can put it in the 2 page report. it doesn't have to be long but just enough so i can make sense of it.

and your parts make a slide show make sure all the important points are there and some nice pictures if you have or ask if you need any. and make sure its enough for 2 min or 1 min depending on your part cause you don't want to have lot of info there that you cannot go through. so keep it short keep it clear keep it to the point.

and then each person will upload the file here in the comments and i will compile it along with the cover page.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HUGE EFFORT YOU GUYS PUT IN

Signatory Elements

As usual, click for larger view.

It is by applying a professional designing workflow that this logo got created.

By including a Korean typeface near the bottom, it simulates an internationally renowned logo of sorts.

With assistance from Weiming and Esa, color scheme similiar to Baskin Robbins was applied to make it more appealing to our target market.

Name is settled to be Terry Berry because it is supposed to be more approachable than FAT LIZARD.

Secondary signs are Wrapping Services and a smaller Terry Berry logo. That should emulate a sense of professionalism in our booth.

Corporate Identity class proved more useful than expected.

Logo and Image design draft

After multiple sketches on my sketch book (all following information may sound like made-up crap after this) these two logos are decidedly the most appealing among the rest I have visualised.

Experiments on 16-bit pixelated designs didn't translate too well due to hard silhoutte edges.

Aesthetic curves like those present in this logo personally felt more pleasing to the eyes.

Considering some of the products we have are stylised critters, the main motive in the design of this logo is a reptile of sorts.

Names proposed are 'Fat Lizard' and 'Terry Berry'

Now what is a Terry Berry you may wonder. Honestly, I don't know. It's just a seemingly catchy name that is easily remembered by customers and yet pleasant to pronounce. What does XL-Shop mean anyway?

Any sort of feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Here are some variations of the fat lizard with head and name switching and some slight font switching as well.

Requirements for stall/booth booking from MMU

dear GROUP mates,

The following is the procedure to rent a booth for our CyberP. Its very... very... simple.

Steps:
1) Write a formal letter requesting for a booth rental stating the reason we are renting (CyberP), what we are selling (women's accessories), how many people involved, when are we booking it (16th-18th Dec), where we are booking it (at the library foyer) etc etc... Its has to be formal and complete.

2) Bring one copy to our lecturer Ms Teh Pei Lee to approve. Bring another copy to Mr Omar from Stad to approve. A word of advice, Mr Omar is very strict.

3) Bring both copies to OCBU (On Campus Business Unit), it is located at the end of the corridor next to the finance counter at Stad. Find the gentleman with the OCBU plaque on his table and kindly send in the request for approval.

4) Please ask him clearly what do we get for e.g.
- how many tables?
- how many chairs?
- do we get a board (those thing to paste our advertisement at the booth)

5) Get the approval finalized on the spot. If he doesn't give you an answer immediately, ask him when will we know if it will be approved.

This has to be done on FRIDAY (12th December 2008) and FRIDAY alone because if we wait next week, we can forget about doing CyberP because there are limited number of slots available and we need it running on TUESDAY (16th December 2008) the following week.

The good news is, the booth rental is FREE!!! So cheers guys. Whoever who is doing the booth booking, please update us with the updates on this post.

TQverymuch

Business and Marketing Strategy

The product that we have chosen to market is plastic jewellery and other accesories. Their designs are colorful and modern and thus are primarily targetted towards the local female population in MMU. Our secondary targets are the small male population who may consider purchasing our products for their female relations or female family members.

The strategy is to set up a booth in frequently visited areas in MMU in order to maximize sales coverage. Proposed areas are Central Plaza, and the Library Foyer. These locations are chosen as the majority of students who travel from faculty to the eateries will pass through the aforementioned locations.

Ultimately, the size of the market is predicted to be roughly 80% of MMU's total scholars.

In contrast to conventional advertising methods, we have concieved plans to use stylized character silhouttes as shapes for the promotional posters. This is expected to catch the eye of passersby more effectively. In a bulletin board filled with a sea of A4-paper-shaped posters, our stylized posters will most definitely stand out.

Considering that our market consists mainly of young university students who frequent shopping malls, our prices must challenge the prices outside as well. Our products are non-perishable therefore there is no reason for consumers to buy it straight away from our booth if they are going to the city on the weekend anyway if the prices are the same and there is a larger variety. Therefore prices must be lower than prices outside in order to encourage potential buyers.

change of plans

Hi guys

i have some bad news and some good news its a bit of both. the drink idea is good but its too risky the price we get it for is too expensive and we are all busy which is impossible to sell 1000 or 500 by 18th (we can if we put time on it but time is what we can't afford) which will me we will lose money. if you look at Jason comment he is right its not good at all so we are going for the woman's jewelery idea that Michelle proposed so the details are gonna be up very soon.

thank you guys

Products Details

the picture above is the detail of our products details. Now, there are few stars there that I need to explain:

*: The first price from left is the price we can get from the supplier and the other price is the price that NZ shop and other shops in Cyberjaya (except Naab (Iranian convenient store in HB4)) would sell. Therefore our pricing would be somewhere in the middle.

*: name of the countries are the location of manufacturing company.

*: ML stands for milliliter. capacity measurement.

a'right, It is also needed to be known that any product that we would not be able to sell could be returned to the supplier without any charges.

any other question plz comment or contact me via YM! : bikhyal1986

thanks
